After being lazy and avoiding workouts her whole life, the 34-year-old Beverly Hills, 90210 star Shannen Doherty has finally started exercising.

Over the past few months, the actress has discovered 'the wonders of working out'. She confessed: "A year ago, I'd never worked out a day in my life. I was always like, 'I'm skinny, I don't need to worry about it.' Now I work out three days a week, I love it. I'm like, 'Oh, this is why people say you should work out.'"

Her latest romance interest is in, surprise, Randy Quaid. The couple played unlikely lovers in the new TV disaster movie and have fallen in love with each other.

"There is something incredibly sexy about Randy and I think it's that, obviously, he's gruff and he's a character and I like a man with character”, Doherty says.

"He's like a teddy bear. I had this kissing scene with him and he's so much bigger than me and he just grabbed me by the elbows and took me up and, like, planted one on me, and put me down and I'm like, 'OK.' We made out and he's a good kisser", the actress added.

Meanwhile, her father was of course very disappointed to find out Shannen is not dating sports hero Matt Leinart, as he is a huge fan of the top-rated American football team the University of Southern California Trojans.
