She was right - after the episode aired Fox threatened to drop the show after Brenda lost her virginity to Dylan on TV because the character bragged about it and did not feel any remorse. Advertisers were pulling out and the network executives became very worried. Ultimately, Darren Starr and the writers were forced to break up Brenda and Dylan before they could have sex again.
