What a great idea!!
I think you can even donate 5$ which seems "nothing" but imagine if every fan did this, it builds up quick, and it's the gesture that counts.

What would have been nice is to our make the donation on her birthday but I guess it's not possible and she will appreciate it very much anyway.

Just donated!!! I know too many people who have suffered or continue to suffer from this disease, and although I couldn't donate too much, I was glad to donate some, in honor of Shannen's dad. My dad is borderline diabetic right now.

Yes, I will try to save a bit more and give in April at once.

I have a little "technique" to save some money for donations... Like after a hard day at work I crave buying from a fast food (because I'm lazy and starving and want junk food) for example, for 8$ or something. I think about it twice and decide not to go and eat at home. The money I just saved goes to the donation. Or when grocery shopping, I buy 2packs of cookies instead of 4 (example lol) same thing. This way you spend the same amount of money that you would have and the gesture is to make an effort on your usual way of consuming. Small efforts, small amounts, that all builds up!!
I think that's pretty easy at least it works for me

but I do eat and treat myself too

It's a question of balancing things, and though I'm far from rich (not mentioning a huge loan to pay back ) I'm really happy to participate to charities that I heart

I agree with you Lina! I am in college right now, too. But, I'm a health freak. Lol. I treat myself sometimes though. I love to shop. I agree with you about balance. For me, instead of buying shoes or clothes sometimes, I donate money to things that matter. I am happy to donate. Diabetes is a serious issue and needs attention. Hopefully, people will donate.
