So im watching the show right now. How great is it to finally have most of a talk show dedicated to shannen. She is discussing her new show, her past shows...Our house, little house, 90210, charmed. Her relationship with aaron spelling. Mainly discussing breaking up.

Shannen looks great! as always. This is the best show she has ever been on not only cause i like the tyra show but because its all shannen on it!

Shannen said on the show she doesnt like to go on the internet anymore because of what people say about her. God that has to be so hard. Poor girl. I will beat up anyone who says anything bad about her lol

i feel so sad for shannen when she says she doesnt go on the internet anymore due to bad things getting said about her, that must be so hard.

i was glad to hear that her interview was a success and that she was having fun on her new show though.

the first two minutes didnt record, this is where it starts:

Tyra: How was it like playing with Laura Ingles when you were on little house on the prarie?

Shannen: umm it was, that was by far, ive been acting for 25 years thats still my favorite experience. You know we were all sort of running around in those outfits and we were kind of like big family and we all hung out together and um all the moms were there and wed go into school and sometimes we would actually do it in the school on location so it was a lot of fun.

Tyra: Take us to 90210 does that feel like ages ago?

Shannen: aaaages ago for me.

Tyra: what were some of the great memories of being on the show?

Shannen: umm you know i think in the begining i felt that we were sort of breaking ground because we were doing a show about you know kids our age in high school and some of the problems kids go through, you know fitting in and being akward and desperately wanting to be popular and for the guys to like you. and friends backstabbing you sort of what everybody goes through in high school.

Tyra: I had Ian Ziering on the show and he was saying the OC and all you shows out there are copying the original 90210 how do you feel about that when you see those shows now?

Shannen: Uh its true, i think its incrediably flattering that you know were still to this day being copied and it just goes to show what a brilliant brilliant man aaron spelling is and darren star.

Tyra: Why dont you talk about aaron spelling because i know that he just passed recently and i know that you had a relationship with him.

Shannen: Yeah a relationship that nobody really understands.

Tyra: What do you mean by that?

Shannen: well you know people always think like oh god you know he fired her off of 90210 and they must dislike eachother and it was never like that between the two of us you know there was a lot of love and he obviously loved me and gave me my other big job which was charmed. and um for me personally he was sort of a mentor and certainly with my production company that i started i kind of model it after aaron because he was just, you know ground breaking on tv and really sort of shaped what tv is today and on a personal note he is just such an incredibly lovely man and hes missed, deffinately.

Tyra: and i know during your time with working with aaron um you were a very young girl and unfortunately for people who have been in the industry for 25 yeas we get to see all of your akward moments and those times in your life you wish just didnt get captured on film.
(then they show pictures throughout her career)

Shannen: Ah brenda and Dylan.

Tyra: was he just as sexy as he was on tv?

Shannen: Yeah you know i actually always thought that jason was the sexy one which was, i played his sister so it was a little akward

Tyra: did you ever have a crush on jason?

Shannen: we were deffinately hanging out because
there was a crush between the two of us for a while but you know i would have a boyfriend and he would have a girlfriend. I think it was a special friendship because we would always sort of talk to one another about you know our relationships and um, we were tight.

Tyra: You were really tight, do you still stay in touch now?

Shannen: Um sort of like through people well send messages or we bump into eachother and i you know. The people im probably the closest with on the show was Jason and Brian austin green, who is just the most adorable funny sweetheart. I see the girls in the audience going "Uhhu yeah." Right i mean on his show freddie he was just so precious he is a great guy.

Tyra: if you look back at that time looking back now is there anything you would have done differently or anything you would have told the yound shannen to look out for?

Shannen: uh so many things. um i think descretion would have been a good one. I dont think that at the time you realize whats going on you dont realize that all this attention is focused on you and that the growing up process is going to be um sort of translated as a negative thing to the public. Your just sort of out there 18 years old with cameras in your face and people writing about you and your trying to find your way through life and your trying to discover yourself and its for any of us its a hard road being 18 and being akward and not having the highest self-esteem in the world and i deffinately didnt at that time but then again theres so many upsides to it you know you get the best clothes in the world for free and you get reservations anywhere you want and you get show tickets so its a trade off.

Tyra: do you ever read what the tabloids have to say about you?

Shannen:i used to

Tyra: and how would it make you feel?

Shannen: Horrible really bad. i havent read in a incredibly long time and i dont go on the computer, the internet or any of that so i avoid it at all costs but there was recently an article that had to be brought to my attention because it was a potential lawsuit and i sort of remember reading it and actually crying like you know how could they be so mean to someone, it seems odd to me that we as a society eat that stuff up that we crave it so much. but that its at the expense of somebody else.

Tyra: i think after a while the press stops looking at you as a human being and as a public figure.
Shannen: how much money are they going to make by putting you in a magazine

Tyra: a lot

Shannen: Exactly

Tyra: Back in your day i feel you were very singled out as the girl, she was wild she was out there but now theres all these girls that theres the nicole richies the lindsay lohans theres a whole pack of them, what would you tell them now today?

Shannen: Stay home. Its so funny to me because looking beck the stuff that i think i did back then as i said before was just kind of the growing up process and compared to what the girls do now its kind of mild you know now theyre making prono tapes and theyre doing all sorts of things

Tyra: could you imagine if you did a porno back then?

Shannen: you know i would have to go live in alaska

Tyra: todays show is all about bad relationships and how to get the heck out and with us is the star of a show that specializes in break ups, Miss Shannen Doherty. and they say breaking up is so hard to do but its a lot easier now with shannens help. So here she is in action on her new show "Breaking up with Shannen Doherty."

(they show a clip from BUWSD the one with the "playa" guy thats a real ass)

Tyra: so how does it feel being on this show and delivering this awf...not awful news im going to say real news, its dificult news.

Shannen: its dificult news. Some of them i rejoice in dumping you know to be honest some of them are so inconsiderate and they treat their girlfriends horribly and i cant wait to go out there and nail em to the wall but a lot of them i feel really really bad for because its not that the other person is a bad person its just that the realtionship isnt right

Tyra: and i think a lof of girls have a lot of trouble getting out of bad relationships they really do, i mean i have been stuck and wanted to get out of it. i had one relationship that was so bad i would look at myself in the mirror and go "Who are you? leave him!" and i couldnt, i was just stuck. Why do you think women like stay so long?

Shannen: i think its a fear of being alone for the most part also think that in some relstionships the men have attacked them so much that theyre self-esteem is so incredibly low that they feel like there is nothing else out there for them. i had one girl on the show where it was really hard her boyfriend constantly told her that she was fat and because he would pick on her weight, and she wasnt fat, at all she was healthy. Because he would pick on her she would instantly go for the ice cream, instantly go for the potato chips it as comfort food, she was self medicating in a way and she tried to break up with him and he sort of ignored the breakup and would still use her for whenever he wanted sex amd that lowered her self-esteem it was like she didnt respect herself enough.

Tyra: she probably felt like nobody else would want her but him?

Shannen: right, so she came to me to break up the stick and she really wanted him to completely understand that it was over.

Tyra: have you ever had a fear personally of being alone and breaking up a relationship?

Shannen: Oh go yeah, all the time. Not anymore but um i was in a really long relationship and i couldnt get out and i dont know why it was the fear of being alone the frear of hurting him and im pretty sure he felt the same way he was over ti to but it was a comfort thing and it actually took my father sort of going to the guys house with a Uhaul and gathering up all my stuff and looking at him and going its over

Tyra: oh so your dad did that?

Shannen: yeah my dad broke us up, thank you dad!

Tyra: so your shows not just about breakups romantic relationships theres all sorts of breakups right?

Shannen: we break up roommates and we had two men on and they used to be best freiends and the guy was lik hes a partier and hes doing this and that and drunk driving and he got me in a car accident i dont ant to hang out with him anymore im going to college i wanna live a certain kind of a life and i need ya to help me and he actually really inspired me because he was so incredibly mature knew what he wanted knew what was a bad influence for him and wanted it out of his life.

Tyra: ok you know what i wanna do, because i think we are all really intereseted in the romantic side of the breakups the wones that really touches our hearts so i want to go through a couple of scenerios with you and im going to be that person that you need to leave.

Shannen: ok, so your dating me?

Tyra: im dating you and lets say im going to be a guy with a wandering eye. So here i go " baby you know i think you are so beautiful and i just love the way you....(sees another girl) Damn (does back to shannen) you know i really do love you though i mean your hair is so lovely..."

Shannen: yeah see its at that point that i would get up and leave. i would get up and leave and never take is phone calls again.

Tyra: what about a girl that is a golddigger ok? "You know i really love you for you i dont understand why all these girls want you for money im really happy that you got me that escelade and i would really like another one in green but it really doesnt matter because i know that your going to get me a 15 million dollar diamond ring and if you dont im gonna leave you but i love you for you!"

Shannen: Thats a hard one, you wanna know why? I think thats the guys fault more then anything else because i think that if your a guy and your having to buy your chic all this stuff to make her be with you then thats some sort of insecurity or fault within yourself and if yo dont want to be with a golddigger then why are you buying her all that stuff and if shes accepting it so easily why arent you questioning her what he motives are? So i find fault with the guy.

Tyra: Be sure to watch Breaking Up with Shannen Doherty hopefully it will give you some strength to end that relationship if you need to, it comes on Tuesday night at 10 o'clock on oxygen and its really really successful so congratulations...
