I was in A&E for the whole of New Years eve, in a hospital in Edinburgh! Not for myself though, don't worry. I arrived in Edinburgh at about half past 7, and my auntie was picking me up at the station, so she left her house at 7. My uncle was in the flat by himself for that time, and he was going to make the dinner.
We got home from the station, and walked towards the house, only to be stopped by the sight of a massive pool of blood outside the front door to the flat, along with 2 bin bags that my uncle was supposed to take to the recycling bins. We quickly ran up the stairs to see if he was in the house, and it turns out he wasn't. I was totally terrified, because something bad had obviously happened - there was a LOT of blood. Turns out he had slipped on a pool of ice, landed on a bin bag and landed on a wine bottle, which had smashed on impact. He tore all of the tendons in his hand, and has to have surgery today. When we got to the hospital, there was blood everywhere, and he was on a drip. We didn't get home until quarter to midnight Image
