I've been single far too long, and hate it

I've been single now since 2000 (9 years) almost a decade

it never used to bother me, but the past few months, I've absolutley hated it.

I'm 26 now, and have been single since I was 17, I consider my self to be an average looking guy, I'm not ugly or fat, but nothing ever seems to happen to me....

Rob!! Long time no see, you've been missed around here... So I'll start with saying welcome back .

I don't know if you're doing something wrong, as I don't know you, but you shouldn't blame yourself, there are worse crimes than being single . I'm not really sure what to suggest, as I've been single for a long time too, but, to be honest with you, I agree with Chuck. Maybe it's just me who can't do with the hassle of having a keeper that I have to answer to, but I really need my space and know that I can't do relationships, for many reasons. Think about it- it's fun being your own person, not having someone on your back, spending time with your mates and especially, not getting hurt. I agree it sucks from time to time, but it's not a bad way to live either. I'm sure you'll find someone eventually, I don't think you'll end up alone. You were in a relationship in the past, so you obviously have it in you. Fact is there are more women than men in the world, so you're bound to find somebody . You're young, you seem to look okay, you seem nice- trust me, it'll come.
