A bookstore or library should be able to use those numbers I gave you to find a copy. If there's one in the middle east, they should be able to get it to you by Tuesday.

If you've already written the report based on the Spanish versin and all you have to do is show the teacher an English version...

If you fall off a cliff, you might as well try to fly.

Sure, who shall we ask it from? Iran, Iraq, Syria, perhaps? I need to make sure I have it by tomorrow, because if I don't, I only have 2 days to change it. I asked a book store to get his newest book for me a month ago, they said it'd take them a week to get it, so I gave up. They're slow.

Actually, I was thinking more along the lines of Dubai. As much as they cater to Americans... Image

Might cost a lot, but if they had it somewhere, it could probably get sent overnight.

Barnes and Noble has it. The one near me has it in stock, if you'd asked 2 days sooner, I could have gotten it and shipped it to you. Image

I'd bet they've got a store in Dubai, though.

Looks like I was wrong. No Barnes and Noble. At least not at the Dubai Mall. They have 6 others, though: http://www.thedubaimall.com/en/general/shopcategory?filterTermId=162&type=1

Thanks, I found another book of his in Tel Aviv, bought it, found another story, analysed it, typed it.... And then realised it wasn't Magic Realism and wanted to cry. I asked if it was okay to use it, and she hasn't replied yet. Errrrr.

OK.

You bought the book. You read the book. You ANALYZED the book.

THEN you realized it was the wrong book?

Can you even begin to fathom how much fun I'm going to have with THAT one?

Lol I didn't read the entire book, just a part of it, but I did analyse the story. Yes, like with the old story- I found it, read it, analysed it, THEN realised my professor doesn't speak Spanish. It's her fault, she said short stories aren't a problem, and that we should only make sure she read the novels. The new story bug is my fault though, it just suited to what I had to say! These exams are driving me crazier than I already am, worse, they're making me even more stupid! Anyway, I asked if it as okay to use it and she said it was, so I don't have to change it again, thank God.

A friend of mine from the course found various articles about Cortazar and copied the whole thing Image. We've been on the phone for almost an hour, I actually had to tell her to delete some sentences that were so obviously copied, and then she wanted me to read it again because "I'm important to you". I felt kinda bad to tell her that she wasn't, really, so I went along with it. Seriously, even I'm not that stupid, if you're going to copy, do it wisely!
