Could someone please tell me what it means if somebody says to me "You're purdy!" ?

My friend has an exchange student and he said to me "Hi, you're purdy!"
I've never heard the word 'purdy' so I'm wondering if it's positive or negative?

Please help me! Image

Love ya lots,
Kate

He comes from Croatia and he said it in English.
He said: "Hi, you ARE purdy!"
And I was like "huh?" and then he was just laughing Image
