hey y'all, i'm wondering if anyone knows anything about converting videos. I have to do a presentation for my government class, and i want to show a video clip. But the computer in the classroom is older than God and it doesn't have windows media player. So basically, i need to put the video on youtube, but when i tried doing that, it wouldn't work because it said it was the wrong type of file or something. If anyone can help me, i would be very greatful. This is the website that has the video. http://www.hoover.org/multimedia/uk/3374406.html
If it's easier for someone to just put it on youtube, that would be fine. Or if someone wants to just walk me through it, that would be fine too. Thanks in advance. =]

Thank you so much, i'll try that. =] But just so i'm clear, will i able to put it on youtube from VLC? Cuz the computer in my classroom at school doesn't have any programs on it. The only thing i'll have access to is the internet, which is why the video needs to be on youtube. Thanks again, you've been a great help. =]

Yeah, that would be the easiest thing, but i'm not allowed to do that. So youtube is really my only option. I will try the stream ripper thing, thank you so much. =]

You're welcome. =] And don't feel bad, i'll most likely still get a good grade on the presentation, even without the video. =]
