I got it... Brenda is a runaway gangster trying to kill that undercover cop. And Dylan's gone because he's running the american mob. Brenda became a gansger while she was in London (with Dylan) and they trully never broke up, it was all an act to hide out because they are being chased by Annie's secret international intelligence organization. ^^
