I also read in another forum that Shannen WILL be in the last 45 sec of the show, in the airport, with a welcome sign "Welcome to California". Here's hoping what we read is true.
Personally, I think Gabe Sachs is withholding from us. He wants to surprise EVERYONE.

I think Gabe Sachs are holding it in untill the last minute to. They know how many people that wants to see Brenda again, and they want to keep it a secret for as long as possible if she is in the pilot or not, or when she will appear, just to make it more exciting.
