Hi,
I've only watched the first 4 seasons of Charmed, But so far I have read all 6 Harry Potter Books. I'm not sure which started first and Im not acusing anyone of cheating or stealing... after all they both are of the same genre so you'd expect some similarities but ever noticed...

Harry Potter [HP] the Sister's Initials [PH]
Three Friends, Three Sisters
In the episode with the fear deamon the greatest power is love which is an ongoing theme of the book

I have many more but I'm interested to see what you all think Image

I don't think it's copying or anything, lots of TV shows are similar to books, but it's all just fiction.

I do not think that anyone is copying from anyone either. All productions in this genre have their roots in ancient mythology. I just thought it is fun to look at the similarities which are what attracts us to these things as fans in the first place. IMHO Image

No i don't see any point of copying,Charmed is almost a spin-off of The Craft i had read somewhere who this movie inspired WB when they created Charmed but there is any bound with HP world except the magic

We have ep's of Charmed inspired to HP world when we
seen the witchcraft school (sorry x the little spoiler Image) was in the 5th season if i don't misteking.. Imagebut the idea of the magic school is not new

The first 3 seasons of Charmed are more inspired to Wicca concepts ,the show was maded for a target a teens-adult....after is changed and the show is becomed more for childs .HP is more x childs the magic-witchcraft is more like on fairtails

The 3 is the number of the perfection but on reallity as you can see on the japanese cartoon is just a choice by author for have different characters who can be interestin x ppl's who watch/read usualy are 4,and there is always a leader, the loner, the sensible, the girl

Charmed is start on Usa on 1998 i dunno when is been pubblished the first book

Charmed did not copy Harry Potter. Connie Burge got some of her initial ideas from The Craft (1996) - if you watch it you will know exactly what I mean.

As for the '3' thing, the number 3 is very significant in wicca, hence the use of the number 3.

However, in my humble opinion, Magic school is a direct and blatent rip off of Harry Potter down to the robes the teachers wear. Gideon sounded so Dumbledoresque in the beginning it wasn't even funny. Just my opinion. Image
