Traditionally, the Holsteiner has been bay with a preference for no or few white markings. It is a well balanced horse, maturing between 16 and 17 hands with round, generous strides and a natural, elastic movement. A lovely head with large, kind eyes is carried on a nicely arched neck, rising upward out of its withers, producing elegance, lightness and self-carriage. Their temperament is relaxed and willing, with good character and an eagerness for work. they ae known sometimes as gentle giants.
The Hanoverian is a warmblood bred specifically for jumping, eventing, and dressage. they are noble horse with a cooperative temperament, elastic gaits, correct conformation, and outstanding ability in international equestrian disciplines. they usally come in bay, black, grey and chesnut colours.
i hope this helps. both breeds are well breed horses and are usally very gentle and willing to go along with you. but the temprament of any horse is usally based on the way the owner treats it, or the way it has been treated as a foal. kindness makes great horses, cruelty will ruin them. and i am 100% sure than shannen horses are very very very well cared for.
