Short Mountain Distillery has just had another celebrity visit. Shannen Doherty of "Beverly Hills 90210" and "Charmed" and Holly Combs of "Charmed" and "Pretty Little Liars," best friends for many years, visited the distillery as part of their new travel show, "Off The Map," which will be shown on Great American Country in early 2015, according to a news release from the distillery.

The actresses are taking a summer vacation from their Hollywood lives to travel through the Southeast, they told Short Mountain managing partner Billy Kaufman.

According to the GAC sources, "Off the Map" is an opportunity for Doherty, Combs and the viewers to expand what it means to call America home. Fans can vote on where they want the actresses to visit in each state on the GAC website.

Drinking and making moonshine got the vote for what to do while touring Tennessee.

"Both actresses were extremely personable and approachable," said Kaufman. "They drank 'shine, made 'shine and generally had a great time."

Tennessee's Short Mountain Distillery, housed in the hollers of Cannon County, is fast becoming Hollywood's favorite place to enjoy down-home fun and sip the once taboo liquor with the locals.

Just a few months ago, Short Mountain Distillery was revealed as a shooting location for Sage + Saints' new music video "Take Me to the South," co-directed by Kristen Stewart of "Twilight" fame.

"Local pickers came to the distillery at Shannen's request," Kaufman said in the news release. "They played some original music and also played some old favorites to entertain the visitors while they ate moonshine-laced bread pudding made by local restaurant The Blue Porch. Ricky Estes, one of our 'shiners, and Shannen were drinking a little 'shine and Ricky asked her to dance. She jumped right up and joined him in a little do-si-do."

While at the distillery, Doherty and Combs learned that Kaufman's moonshine recipe is possibly the most pedigreed in the business. His recipe has a history that can be traced back to the days of Al Capone. His 'Shiners tell stories of their grandfathers and great-grandfathers selling their illegal wares to the famous mobster during prohibition.

"Shannen and Holly stayed longer than expected. We were all having a great time telling tall tales, eating, drinking and listening to the old-time music," Kaufman said. "It's rumored that after they left the distillery, the crew went in search of an illegal moonshine still. We aren't sure if they were successful."
