28/04/17-Great news, Shannen is in remission!! "Moments. They happen. Today was and is a moment. What does remission mean? I heard that word and have no idea how to react. Good news? YES. Overwhelming. YES. Now more waiting. As every single one of my fellow cancer family knows, the next five years is crucial. Reoccurrences happen all the time. Many of you have shared that very story with me. So with a heart that is certainly lighter, I wait. In the meantime, decisions. Reconstruction which is several surgeries. Decision on taking a pill for the next five years that comes with its own set of problems and side effects. I am blessed, I know that. But for now.... remission. I'm going to just breathe." - Shannen

22/03/17-Yesterday, Shannen attended a congressional briefing on protecting dogs and cats from human consumption at the Rayburn House Office Building in Washington, DC. Added 7 new photos from this event to the 'In Public & Events 5' gallery. Click here to watch the meeting. “Having cancer brings things into a different kind of focus,” she said, crediting her dog with helping her get through surgery and treatment after her diagnosis in 2015. “We as Americans have trained dogs to do amazing things — they take bullets for our officers and sniff bombs,” she continued. “They are part of us and for us to not stand up and protect animals … we have to protect our own.” - Shannen

05/03/17-Yesterday, Shannen attended the 'Animal Hope And Wellness Foundations' first annual gala event at the W Hotel in Los Angeles, CA. Added 14 new photos from this event to the 'In Public & Events 5' gallery.

03/03/17-Unfortunately, 'MallBrats' (The 'Mallrats' sequel) was not picked up. The director, Kevin Smith pitched the show to 6 different networks with no success. Therefore he has decided to give up on it so he can focus on his other show that was picked up.

20/02/17-Shannen will be Hosting the Animal Hope and Wellness Foundation's First Annual Gratitude Gala on Saturday March 4th 2017 in Los Angeles, CA. The event starts at 7:30PM to 11:30PM at the W Hotel which is located on 6250 Hollywood Blvd. The Animal Hope and Wellness Foundation (AHWF) is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that is focused solely on rescuing abused and neglected animals, providing full rehabilitation services and ultimately working to find them their fur-ever families. 02/02/17-Yesterday, Shannen along with the 'Mother of Dogs' Organization met with Miami-Dade Mayor, Carlos A. Giménez and the city commissioners to discuss Animal safety initiative in Miami, Fla. Its primary goals are to educate the public on the plight of these animals and to discourage breeding or buying when millions of healthy and adoptable dogs die each year waiting for homes. According to the latest statistics, seven million companion animals enter the American shelter system each year, with an astonishing 2.7 million being euthanized. The most important thing needed to stop the suffering of these animals is to create more laws that protect them. Added 2 new photos from this event to the 'In Public & Events 5' gallery.
