20/12/10-I reported earlier in the month that Shannen has set up a foundation under her dad's name at the American diabetes association. The good news is you can now donate online! 18/12/10-Shannen has teamed up with 'One Warm Coat', a charity that allows people to donate used coats for those in need. Shannen adds "All you have to do is donate one warm coat. It's so simple. 10/11/10-Earlier this year I reported that 'Burning Palms' premiered at the Newport Beach film festival in April. Well now it will be available worldwide very soon. There will be a US theatrical release on January 14th 2011. (Recap: BURNING PALMS is a dark comedy that interlaces five stories set in different Los Angeles neighborhoods, where no taboo is left unexplored as each character careens toward a dark and often comic fate. 09/11/10-The signing at The Grove at 7:00PM at Farmers Market in Los Angeles, CA has been cancelled. It will be rescheduled for a later date.

08/11/10-On Friday, Shannen's dad, John Thomas Doherty passed away at the age of 66. He had been battling a series of serious health issues. R.I.P Tom. Please think of Shannen and her family and keep them in your prayers. She called him the "greatest man in the world" and added "I love him with every inch of my being and cannot imagine life without him. We are beyond devastated, My dad touched everybody he met and even those who didn't know him personally. The world is a much lonelier place without him. He was loved, adored, cherished and admired. He was a fighter and stood strong to fight his health issues until the very end. He was smart, beautiful in every way and was my best friend and rock." (As you may have guessed, Shannen will not be on 'Access Hollywood' tonight as planned. She has cancelled her appearance.)

07/11/10-Shannen was on 'Ushi & Loesie' which is a Dutch television show that pranked her with a fake outrageous interview. It was very funny! It was filmed a few months ago and aired last weekend on RTL4 in the Netherlands. Click here to watch it. 29/10/10-Shannen has joined 'The Elephant Project' which is an organization to raise money and awareness for the Alzheimer's Association. To raise money, and awareness, the company have celebrities pose for a picture with an elephant beanie baby, which are then auctioned off in an Elephant Project auction package! Each package consists of an 8x10 photo of a celebrity posing with the elephant, a signed Elephant Project card by that celebrity, and a special elephant beanie baby! 26/09/10-Shannen will be in 'Suite 7' (also starring Brian Austin Green) which is a seven-episode Web video series which is being produced for the BSC by New York-based CJP Communications. The premiere episode is in production this month and will launch on December 17th going live on MyLifetime.com. A new five-to-eight- minute episode is expected to air each week. The setting for the comedic drama series is a suite in a New York hotel. In each episode, a new couple or group—newlyweds, a divorcing couple, siblings, best friends—checks into Suite 7 and unpacks their “emotional baggage.” The bed is at the center of the room, literally and figuratively—the mattress is the catalyst for every conflict resolution. Thematically, 'Suite 7' will focus on renewal, necessary changes and overall life improvement. The “mattress as hero” message will be threaded through in creative ways. The series is sponsored by the Better Sleep Council, the consumer education arm of the International Sleep Products Assn., to heighten awareness of the important role proper sleep plays in health and well-being. 22/09/10-I can officially confirm that Shannen will be in a new Syfy (Sci-fi) movie called 'Gretl: Witch Hunter' (based on the Hansel & Gretel fairytale) which was filmed in Toronto ON, Canada over the summer. The movie is currently in post-production. She plays the role of Gretl. Small movie description: Hansel- Twenty years after his encounter with the witch, a grown-up Hansel returns to the haunted forest, seeking revenge. But there’s a surprise waiting – his sister Gretl (who he thought had been killed) is the witch’s protégée. More information coming soon!

13/08/10-Shannen will be starring in Kim Kardashian's reality show called 'The Spin Crowd'. It shows a behind-the-scenes look at a fast-pasted industry, specifically public relations. It will follow Command PR, run by Kardashian's friends Jonathan Cheban and Simon Huck, as it reps celebrities and runs big Hollywood events. "There’s so much drama behind press events,” Kardashian says of the show. “There will be a different celebrity featured in every episode, so it’ll be really fun”. More details coming soon!

05/08/10-Gabe Saporta and Shannen judged a regional competition as part of GQ magazine and Bombay Sapphire's search for the nation's "most inspired" bartender at Trump Soho Hotel's rooftop bar in NYC. "It was unique," Shannen told People Magazine. "The fact that he used the fennel and everything that he put into it – the egg whites – it was a unique drink that some people might have been scared to try." Where else could Legally Blonde meet The Ring? FEARnet, the world’s premier horror, thriller and suspense website will unleash an animated- dark humor-thriller with double the trouble, Mari-Kari. Mari and Kari are identical twins. They’re best friends and never apart. Mari is the liveliest girl you’ll ever meet. Kari is too. Her problem: she’s dead. From there it just gets weird. Shannen Doherty provides the voices for both Mari and Kari. Series is scheduled to debut this June on FEARnet.com.

Mari-Kari centers around a grade school girl and her super-spooky, revenge minded wraith-of-a sister. Calamity and hilarity are hard–wired in. Set in the ordinary world of Mari, viewers see how her supernatural sisterly bond affects her life at home, at school, on the bus, at the mall – and how her life and her sister’s lack of one makes them a very scary pair. Theirs is a relationship that has dire affects for anyone who tries to get in the middle of it. 18/01/10-Shannen is currently working on an animated web-series for FEARnet called 'Mari-Kari'. She plays the voices of two different characters, Mari and Kari. Mari's character is super obnoxious and her sister Kari is actually dead, but bad. More details coming soon!
