09/08/05-Shannen will be staring in a four-hour CBS miniseries called 'Category 7: The End of the World' along with Gina Gershon, James Brolin, Randy Quaid, Tom Skerritt and Swoosie Kurtz. It is scheduled for the November sweeps, and is a sequel to last year's 'Category 6.' They have begun filming in Canada (Filming begins on August 1st 2005 and it wraps on September 25th 2005) and Roger Soffer and Christian Ford are writing the script. It is being produced by von Zerneck/Sertner Films. Robert M. Sertner and Frank von Zerneck ('Scott Turow’s Reversible Errors', 'The Elizabeth Smart Story', We Were the Mulvaneys') are the executive producers. Dick Lowry ('Category 6: Day of Destruction', 'Attila') is directing from a script by Roger Soffer and Christian Ford ('Slow Burn'). Peter Sadowski, Lesley Oswald and Randy Sutter are the producers; Craig Weiss, CBS Digital ('Category 6: Day of Destruction', 'Frank Herbert’s Children of Dune', 'From the Earth to the Moon') is the visual effects producer.

The movie begins where 'Category 6: Day of Destruction' ended, as the ultimate superstorm continues to build in size. It was the 2004-2005 season’s most watched (18.01m) and highest rated mini-series in households (11.4/17), adults 18-49 (5.6/14) and adults 25-54 (7.4/16).

Shannen plays Faith Clavell, a discredited scientist who teams with Quaid’s storm chaser to try to figure out what’s causing the massive storm, which is now wreaking havoc all over the world.

The movie will be broadcast as the “CBS Sunday Movie” on Sunday, Nov 6th (9:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT) and Sunday, Nov 13th (9:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.

02/08/05-Shannen, accompanied by her mother (Rosa) and father (Tom) collected a Maserati Quattroporte sports sedan. The colour is called Nuvolari and it has a black leather interior. Shannen donated $15,000 to the Parkinson’s Foundation to test drive the Maserati for 3 months. At the end of the period she has the option to buy the car which costs $130,000 or return the vehicle knowing that her non-refundable $15,000 will be put to good use fighting Parkinson’s Disease.

Holly Robinson Peete will continue with the show. The UPN have stated that Shannen is a terrific actress and that there are no hard feelings.

13/04/05-Shannen is set to take the lead role in a new 30-minute sitcom series called 'Love, Inc.' (Aka. 'Wingwoman'). It will be her first regular sitcom. Shannen will be helping her male clients find their soulmates. She will play an energetic, pragmatic young woman who takes pride in her success as a full-service dating consultant. Her character's name is Denise Johnson. Reagan Gomez-Preston ('Love Don't Cost a Thing') will co-star as Shannen's longtime friend, co-worker and roommate. Holly Robinson Peete ('21 Jump Street') will be playing Shannen's boss. Ion Overman ('Port Charles') and Vince Vieluf ('Grind') are also set to join the cast. The show is about a woman who helps guys meet women by acting as a go-between in social situations — an apparently burgeoning business in the matchmaking world, according to several recent newspaper and magazine trend stories. Adam Chase ('friends'), Mark Burg ('two and a half men'), Oren Koules ('two and a half men') and Warren Littlefield ('keen eddie') are the executive producers. The new comedy pilot will first air in September 2005 on UPN, but if you would like to see the show live, the taping will be on Friday April 29th at 6:00PM (PST) at the Paramount Studios. 04/03/05-I am sorry to break the news, however I can confirm that Fox's 'North Shore' has officially been cancelled. "It's done, over, gone," said executive producer Harry Bring in Los Angeles. "We were told today to pack it up and close it down." Several local crew and Jim Sharp, the network's production president, confirmed the series' cancellation. No reason was given, but a Los Angeles source said it was "too-low ratings and too high a budget."
